The Consul General of Italy in Miami Gloria Marina Bellelli and MB America's CEO Marco Bruzzi presented the "Premio Eccellenze Italiane in Florida 2017" ("The Italian Excellences Award in Florida 2017") to Italian Air Force Col. Igor Bruni, 33rd FW Italian Training Supervisor based in Eglin, Florida. During the award ceremony held on Saturday October 28th, 2017 at 93 Palm, an MB America-managed property in Palm Island, Miami Beach, Col Igor Bruni received the annual recognition for his work in supporting the national system, the Italian Country and the local Italian community.

As part of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program at Eglin AFB, earlier this year the Italian Air Force with the generous support from the General Consulate of Italy in Miami, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, MB America, the Filippo Marazzi Foundation, ODLI - a branch of the Italian Ministry for the Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation - and Mayac Inc, launched the "Italian Cooperative Program" to give native Italian language instruction to its dependents’ families and to provide Okaloosa County schools' American students the opportunity to learn the Italian language and culture.

"I am really pleased for Col. Igor Bruni and his team that their work has been recognized with this prestigious award. The Italian Cooperative Program received the Military Child Education Coalition’s (MCEC) 2017 Pete Taylor Partnership of Excellence Award earlier this Summer. This recognition is a further testament to the great results achieved thanks a strong collaboration among the General Consulate of Italy in Miami, the Defense Ministry, MB America, ODLI and all the parties involved", commented Marco Bruzzi.
